From superDave Invitational - Sunday, March 27, 2011
If we all do a little, we can all do a lot!
This year's superDave Invitational for Camp Trillium (CT) gets underway at 1 pm on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Camp Fortune, just 15 minutes north of Ottawa.Registration will take place in the bar area of the main lodge from 12 noon to 12:45 pm. Entry fee: $20 (+ discounted lift ticket for non-passholders).
Please sign up before 12 noon on Thursday March 24 - just send an email to superdaveski@hotmail.com to let him know you'll be there.
This annual fundraiser consists of a four ski events judged by instructors from the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance. The four judged disciplines are:
- Short radius turns (or bumps)
- GS turns
- Stubby race course, and
- The highlight of the day, the Group Synchro Ski Competition.
The activities are fun-based and open to all skiing abilities. (Adults only.) Each event will be scored individually, and the skier with the highest score wins . . . the one with the lowest score wins free lesson tickets.
Food and live entertainment will be available in the bar after the event.
Funds are raised through the entry fees paid by participants, the sale of raffle tickets and participant donations. All money raised is donated to Camp Trillium, which promotes recreational experiences to bring children with cancer and their families together.
In 2009, we had 50 participants and raised $1200. In 2010 we had 55 (there were 84 before weather forced a postponement) and we raised about $2000. Remember the theme: “If we all do a little, we can all do a lot."
We look forward to seeing you at the hill!
Thank you!
